Prophetic Musings

Thoughts from a small-town, old-fashioned guy living in the suburbs.

So, how was your weekend?

Ever since we got back from Colorado two weeks ago, I've been fighting off sickness. Well, the sickness finally won on Friday night. We went to the emergency room where I spent most of the day on Saturday. Turns out I have an upper respiratory infection and I was on steroids and breathing treatments all day in the hospital.

I finally get to go home about 4 PM Saturday afternoon. We get home, I lay down and Collette goes back to town to pick up my prescriptions about 6 PM. She gets home a little later and we have the following conversation.

Her: I couldn't get your medicine.
Me: Why not?
Her: Because the drop-off window was closed. We'll have to go back tomorrow and get it. Oh, and we'll need to pick up one more thing.
Me: What's that?
Her: Prenatal vitamins.

She then proceeds to drop this on my desk.

So, in about eight more months, we'll be adding one to the family.

Never a dull moment around here.

We are so very excited for your family!  Congratulations on the surprise blessing.  Predictions are already beginning over here at our place...  guess which two of us think it is a baby girl?

Much love and many prayers,

Laura & Family

Milk these sickies while you can.  You're soon to become the nurse.  Or at least that's how it's supposed to work, right?

Seriously though, congratulations!
